Sacral Plexus collection is made with JavaScript p5.js code, artificial intelligence and images of slime molds, octopus, purple cauliflower, human brain, deep ocean coral, slime mold DNA and video material of modeling dark matter and the structure of universe with the help of slime mold formation structure logics and different infrastructures and forms in Bakunkärr forests, Sipoonkorpi, Finland. Sacral Plexus is a network of nerve fibres that supplies the skin and muscels of our lower limbs. It tells us, how to move on.

Sacral Plexus I

As part of Sacral Plexus collection, this piece of art video is a collaboration between media artist Maisa Immonen and Heini Heikkilä. Almost decomposed piece of food found next to swamp pond in Bakunkärr forest (Sipoo, Finland) with tiny Paranvoi slime molds on it was first photographed carefully in the forest. Images were then turned to a 3D object. Digital, imaginary animation of growth of slime mold was then created on top of it. Growth animation was set to a digital forest setting and animated to move on it.
